Project Report: Construction of Shelters and Mosque in Migrant Township, Farah Province
Project Overview
The Al-Garrafah Foundation has successfully constructed 108 shelters in the Kurji Plain of Farah Province, within the Migrant Township. These shelters were distributed to returnee migrants from neighboring countries, providing them with safe and dignified housing.
Groundbreaking Ceremony
The groundbreaking ceremony of the township took place on Monday, 1st Dalwa 1403 (January 21, 2025), attended by distinguished personalities:
- His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah bin Thani Al Thani, Founder of the Al-Garrafah Foundation
- Honorable Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, Acting Minister of Information and Culture
- Honorable Mawlawi Ghausuddin Rahbar, Governor of Farah Province
- A large number of local officials and community representatives
Construction of the Mosque
Alongside the shelter project, the Al-Garrafah Foundation initiated and completed the construction of a mosque within the township. This mosque now serves as a spiritual and communal center, enabling residents to perform congregational prayers and engage in religious activities.
