FOUNDER BIOGRAPHY

Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah bin Thani Al-Thani, born in 1956 into the esteemed royal family of Qatar, completed his university education in 1981. Sheikh Ali has significantly contributed to the nation’s economic and social landscape as one of Qatar’s most renowned businessmen. His extensive involvement in charity, real estate, and investment activities has cemented his status as a prominent figure in these sectors. Through his philanthropic endeavors and strategic investments, Sheikh Ali has played a vital role in fostering Qatar’s development and growth.

FOUNDER MESSAGE

The people of Afghanistan are entitled to a prosperous and peaceful life following the protracted period of conflict. They must take the initiative to rebuild their nation. In demonstrating my goodwill toward the Afghan people, I am actively engaged in the implementation of numerous sustainable, infrastructure, and humanitarian projects. These initiatives not only foster the creation of thousands of indirect employment opportunities but also establish hundreds of permanent jobs for the Afghan population. Through these efforts, I aim to contribute to the overall development and stability of Afghanistan.

ORGANIZATION PROFILE

The AL-Garrafah Foundation (AGF) was officially registered with license number 408 on April 23, 2014, by the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan. Owned and funded by His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah bin Thani Al-Thani, AGF commenced its operations in Afghanistan upon obtaining its license. The foundation’s achievements have been warmly received by the Afghan populace. AGF’s central office is located in Kabul, and it maintains a regional office in Farah province. Through its various initiatives, AGF aims to contribute to the betterment of Afghan society and support the country’s development efforts.
