One of the main goals of Al-Gharrafa is the expansion of the migratory birds of Farah province. In order to achieve this goal, Al-Gharrafa has made many efforts, including investments in the construction of standard buildings and the provision of machines, laboratories and equipment for breeding of these birds.
Al-Gharrafa foundation created training workshop for Afghan veterinarians in Qatar. Currently, there are 3 veterinarians and 6 workers in the farm for Houbara care area.
Al-Gharrafa Foundation has built a construction site for breeding of Houbara birds in its farm in Farah province, at a cost of $ 179,760, in which birds are kept or stored. This building has different rooms and equipment, Which is used from the laying stage to the incubation stage.
The foundation has maintained about 400 cages in four steps in order to hold birds. Including 360 cages for storing Houbara birds and the rest for other birds. The foundation will increase the number of cages by necessity.
First, a few veterinarians were sent to Qatar in a few steps and then provided laboratory equipment. Veterinarians now use the lab for breeding and preventing diseases. The laboratory equipment costs $ 30,000.
The result of this effort is the production of more than 2000 birds, with an annual average of 400-500 birds bred in this farm, and as it has been broadcast on news networks, these birds, after having obtained the necessary conditions for flight and natural life, Farah’s top officials were released again.
