The Al-Garrafah Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Independent Civil Aviation Authority to address Afghanistan’s air transportation challenges. This initiative aims to strengthen aeronautical services and develop Afghanistan’s air transport infrastructure by international standards.
Based on the provisions outlined in this MOU and at the request of the Government of Afghanistan, the foundation has committed to expanding Farah Airport and providing the necessary equipment.
In response to Farah Airport’s request, the Al-Garrafah Foundation has constructed a 390-meter access road connecting the terminal to the public road. This purpose-built road ensures efficient connectivity, facilitating seamless movement for passengers, airport staff, and vehicles. By addressing this critical infrastructure need, the foundation contributes to the overall functionality and accessibility of Farah Airport.
