Humanitarian Aids in Farah

The Al-Garrafah Foundation is committed to fulfilling its humanitarian duties by assisting the needy in Afghanistan. The Foundation prioritizes standing alongside the Afghan people, particularly during challenging times. Each winter, the Foundation procures essential foodstuffs such as rice, oil, flour, wheat, tea, sugar, blankets, and other necessities. These goods are subsequently distributed to impoverished families identified within various villages of the Farah Province.

The Foundation’s efforts have profoundly impacted the lives of countless individuals, demonstrating a sustained commitment to alleviating suffering and fostering resilience within communities. This targeted assistance ensures that thousands of families receive support annually. Additionally, the leadership of the Al-Garrafah Foundation places significant emphasis on aiding those affected by natural disasters and emergencies. This focus on disaster relief underscores the Foundation’s dedication to humanitarian goals and providing critical assistance to vulnerable populations.

These food packages included rice, oil, wheat, sugar, salt, tea, and blankets distributed by the Al-Garrafah Foundation among the needy in Farah province in January 2014, with a total of 4,500 families benefiting from these aids.

Packaged food was distributed among the needy, dormitories, students, dormitories, and worshipers of mosques in different parts of Farah province. This aid was distributed every day during the iftar during the holy month of Ramadan.

These food packages included rice, oil, wheat, sugar, salt, and tea, distributed by the Al-Garrafah Foundation among the needy people in Farah Province in January 2015. total of 10,000 families benefited from these aids.

Al-Garrafah Foundation, in coordination with the Women’s Affairs Department and the Workers’ Union of Farah Province, distributed food to 400 families. The donations, which include 25 kilos of flour – 5 kilos of rice – 2 kilos of sugar – half a kilo of dry tea, and 3 kilos of oil, with the presence of the representative of the Al-Garrafah Foundation, the representative of the Department of Women’s Affairs and the Workers’ Union of Farah Province, to the poor families, formerly by These institutions have been identified as being distributed.

1600 Iftar food packages were distributed among fasting people in different places in Farah province every day during Ramadan. These mosques are Central mosque Farah 300 pack, Ashraf al-ulum school 130  pack,  Qala e Zaman school 120, Al-Shohada school 120 pack, Imam Abu Hanifa mosque 200 closed, Hazrat-e-Abu Bakr Sadiq mosque 100, Al-Garrafah agricultural farm 50, Masjid Qazi 100 closed and mosque of Omar Farooq 75 pack of Iftari.

The program distributed 4,000 food packages including flour, beans, and oil to 4,000 families affected by flooding.

These mosques are Central mosque Farah 300 packs, Ashraf ul-oleum School 130 packs,  Qala e Zaman School 120, Al-Shohada School 120 packs, Imam Abu Hanifa mosque 200 closed, Hazrat-e-Abu Bakr Sadiq mosque 100, Al-Garrafah agricultural farm mosque 50, Masjid Qazi 100 closed and mosque of Omar Farooq 75 pack of Iftari.

Al-Garrafah Foundation distributed food packages to 4,000 families at the request of the Farah governor’s office. The families are facing economic problems during quarantine in Farah province due to the coronavirus pandemic. These food packages include rice, flour, sugar, beans, tea, and oil, which were distributed in two stages and each stage to 2,000 families in Four places: Darulmoalemin Farah, Bakhtabad School, Jovin District, and Al-Garrafah Agricultural Farm.

Al-Garrafah Foundation distributed food packages to 5,000 families at the request of the government in Farah and 4000 families in Kandahar province. These food packages include rice, flour, sugar, beans, tea, and oil.

Al-Garrafah Foundation distributed 500 Iftari packages in Farah, 300 in Kandahar, and 300 in Kabul.

This iftar program is meticulously organized to ensure that fasting individuals receive essential food supplies. The distribution takes place at various locations, including mosques, orphanages, dormitories, and schools, across the Farah, Kabul, and Herat provinces.

This annual program not only provides vital sustenance but also fosters a sense of community and solidarity among the fasting individuals, demonstrating the Al-Garrafah Foundation’s enduring commitment to humanitarian aid and support for vulnerable populations during Ramadan. Each year, the Foundation conducts this program to support those observing the fast. The food packages include a variety of items such as rice, meat, yogurt, fruit, and water, ensuring that the recipients have access to nutritious meals to break their fast.
